Note that element 117 (ununseptium) and
element 118 (ununoctium) are not known, but are included in the
table to show their expected positions. A team of
scientists that announced in 1999 the observation of what
appeared to be Element 118 has retracted its original paper
after several confirmation experiments failed to reproduce the
results. Please see

suggestions about element 118 are appearing
